In 2006, the sanatorium-preventorium received the status of a sanatorium of the 1st category. In July 2016, the reconstruction of the sanatorium began, which made it possible to turn “Birch” into a health resort that meets the most cutting-edge requirements for sanatorium-resort facilities. The decision to reconstruct the sanatorium was taken by the general director of the Joint Stock Company Belaruskali, Ivan Golovaty, in order to improve the conditions for the rehabilitation of, first of all, the employees and veterans of the enterprise, as well as guests from all over the Republic and abroad. The sanatorium was closed for reconstruction on April 19, 2016.
